Doha, June 23, 2025 — The recent Iranian missile strike on the U.S. Al-Udeid Air Base has sparked panic and alarm among Qataris, especially in major shopping malls across Doha.
After emergency sirens sounded and explosions were heard overhead, many shoppers rushed to exit or find safe shelter, causing scenes of chaos and fear.
“I felt scared when the sirens went off and people started running. No one knew what was happening,” said a woman inside a downtown mall.
Qatari authorities have stepped up security and urged calm as the country faces an unprecedented regional escalation.
